Our Story
Le Coin des Jeux was born in 2008 from a simple passion shared by two university friends, Alexandre Dubois and Catherine Moreau, who spent countless hours playing board games in their Montreal apartment. What started as weekend gaming sessions with friends gradually evolved into something much larger when they realized there was a significant gap in the Canadian market for a comprehensive, community-focused board game store.
After months of research and planning, they opened the first Le Coin des Jeux location in a cozy 800-square-foot space in Montreal's Plateau district. Their vision was clear: create more than just a retail store, but a welcoming community hub where people of all ages could discover, learn, and enjoy the wonderful world of tabletop gaming.
Today, fifteen years later, Le Coin des Jeux has grown to become Canada's premier board game destination, serving thousands of customers monthly while maintaining the same personal touch and community spirit that defined our humble beginnings.
